Our
Mission
It is the intent of the Mt. Olive Cemetery Historical Preservation Society to emphasize the influence and contributions of African-Americans regarding the history, education, development, growth, and culture of the Clarksville, Tennessee area. The incorporators of the Society believe this may best be achieved through education of local youths and an organized collaboration between local government, the Society, and private citizens, each of which holds interest in discovering and preserving existing records, artifacts, and properties that represent the history of achievement and contribution.
****2008 has been a successful year!****
We are proud to announce that all of our youth that helped with the Mt. Olive Cemetery & Community Garden will be treated to Beech Bend on August 5, 2008. Congratulations to these young people have took it upon themselves to donate their time to these great causes.
