Our Mission
It is the intent of the Mt. Olive Cemetery Historical Preservation
Society to emphasize the influence and contributions of
African-Americans regarding the history, education, development, growth,
and culture of the Clarksville, Tennessee area. The incorporators
of the Society believe this may best be achieved through education of
local youths and an organized collaboration between local government,
the Society, and private citizens, each of which holds interest in
discovering and preserving existing records, artifacts, and properties
that represent the history of achievement and contribution.
